Story

Bought this fabric (poppies) in Florida and thought it would celebrate Canada's 150th birthday. We had also recently visited Ottawa for the Remembrance day ceremony, and laid our poppy on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in honour of my dad Leslie Rea of Russell Manitoba. He served in the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry. Then he married my mom in England and four of ten children were born in Russell after the war.
