Eighteen year-old Sophia Schlegel has roots in both Ontario and Manitoba. She came from a long line of quilters in both the Hildebrand and Schlegel sides of her family. She started creating quilts from her own original designs a few years ago and has been delighted to collaborate with her paternal grandmother, Florence Schlegel, to prepare this, her most recent creation, as her first donation to the New Hamburg Relief Sale.
