Story

When I was a young child, I spent time with my maternal grandmother in the summer. She taught me how to lay out her scrap Trip Around the World quilts. When I was about six she also taught me how to hand embroider. We went to the general store in the small Pennsylvania town where they lived to buy pre-stamped pillow cases and dresser scarves. I still have the first embroidered quilt which I made with her. In the early 2000s I discovered Lakadaisies patterns and have done several times and is one of my favourites. I love to carry my hand embroidery with me to many places in the hopes that I will get a few minutes to work on a project.
