Pieced & Cross Stitched
Being a caregiver sometimes leads to unexpected activity. My wife lost the use of her right side as a result of a stroke. In order to give her something to do and something she liked, I made a stand to hold the hoop so she could continue cross stitching blocks for quilt tops. Since I was there to thread her needle and change the hoop I was drawn into doing some myself. After doing some for grandchildren and two for charity our next one was for the MCC Relief Sale. She passed away before we got to it so I decided to take over. I developed an interest in designing borders for the tops and started piecing them myself. Here is my third quilt for this sale. Its my way of supporting the great work MCC is doing to ease the suffering in this world.
