This quilt follows the colours of the life cycle of a star, with a great deal of poetic license. It alternates between shot and plain cotton, with the shot cotton acting as a transition between the two colours. Bits of the plain cotton can be found on the back. I thought this quilt was a nice mix of traditional and modern styles. This is the fifth year that I have donated a quilt to the relief auction and thought it would be good for marking the occasion.
