Pieced & embroidered

I would have never dreamed of cross stitching and piecing quilts as a hobby but helping my wife after she had a stroke and couldn't use her right hand, I got into it. We did some for grand children and some for charity and our next one was to be the New Hamburg Relief Sale. By then her health deteriorated and I was doing most of the cross stitching. When she passed away I was determined to do the quilt for the sale and this double star was the pattern of that quilt. I took a stab at piecing our own border and am enjoying creating different designs. MCC is doing wonderful work around the world and I am delighted to be able to support in this way.
