Pieced by Rose Ann Mottet

Leeta Horst (St Jacobs, ON) has always wanted to donate a quilt to the New Hamburg Sale. This year she teamed up with her daughter, Rose Ann Mottet (Sherwood Park, AB) to create this quilt. Rose Ann pieced the quilt, Leeta at 86 hand quilted the entire quilt. The quilt was marked by Susanna Brubacher (Hawksville, ON). The Homespun pattern we used was very old, 75 years. The piece size did not include seam allowances and the instructions called for all pieces to be individually cut out. No strip piecing, no rotary cutter. We were thankful for modern techniques!
