Many years ago I ordered this cross stitch quilt kit from Herrschner's. When I didn't get around to stitching it, I eventually gave it to my mother, Emmalien Lichti, who did all of the cross stitching, put the panels together and then had help quilting it. My mother, now 93, has completed many cross stitch quilts in her lifetime. She prefers to use four strands of embroidery floss instead of the usual three strands. She says it gave a fuller and more prominent design. This quilt has been stored in a cedar chest since it was completed at least 30 years ago. Cross-stitched by Emmalien Lichti and donated by daughter, Ruth Jantzi.
