Ruth Zehr has designed and pieced many quilt and comforter tops over the years. When Ron and Ruth traveled she often bought yards and yards of beautiful, quality fabric to add to her growing stash, thinking that she would someday make a quilt out of it. The time came for Ruth and Ron to downsize and move to a smaller home. Ruth was gradually working her way through her stash but she had lots of fabrics so she had to give some away to fellow quilters and the Hillcrest Church Women. I happened to be the lucky recipient of Ruth's collection of purple fabrics. One day while leafing through "The Quilter Magazine" I saw a pattern designed by Sandy Barboo and Sue Harvey and decided that it would work well with the fabrics that Ruth gave me. The Hillcrest Women quilters did an awesome job of quilting and now "Summer's Delight" is ready for the NHMRS.
