Story

Members of the small Strip Pieces guild of Winnipeg are all dedicated scrap quilters and we like to use up our scraps in a group quilt. This one incorporates bright and light scraps from our sewing rooms to make a cheerful diagonal string quilt. Diamonds are formed when the blocks are sewn together. The back features bright floral prints from Bonnie Olfert's fabric cupboard. String quilts are the ultimate scrap quilts, using up irregular bits and pieces and traditionally sewn onto a foundation of paper or fabric. Top, backing and batting are all 100 per cent cotton. Machine wash and dry on gentle cycle.
