Story

Redwork became popular in the late 1870s. The name came from an embroidery floss known as Turkey Red. it began in England at the Royal School of Art Needlework & Design. The designs were easy, using mostly the backstitch and lazy daisy. In 2010, Dorothy Snider donated a crib quilt to the sale using the Redwork design.
