We set up this quilt in January but we were unable to gather due to Covid until February 2/22. On that day we talked jokingly about finishing it by March 11/22. Then the Russian invasion started into Ukraine. We all said we can work harder and get this quilt done to help MCC. We felt we were quilting in solidarity with Ukraine. One of our volunteers had pointed out that our quilt is the colours of Ukraine! Yes we can do this. Extra hours were completed and on March 2/22 we clapped and shouted for joy! The quilting was done. On March 8/22, four volunteers sewed on the binding. This was a record finish for a very large quilt. We pray someone bids generously for our efforts in support of Ukraine.
