The nine patch and half square triangle blocks in this quilt were made by a group of my friends in a once a month block exchange. We all received the same blocks from each of the 10 friends each month for a year. We then each assembled the blocks in our own arrangements. I chose to cut up the 1/2 square triangle blocks into smaller units and created the two outside borders with these new units. The Gold Friendship star block in the sashing was appropriate for the quilt theme of friends exchange blocks.
