I love working with bright bold fabrics and collect these batiks on various vacations of quilt shops across Canada and the USA. I found the pattern in the October 2009 American Patchwork and Quilting Magazine. It gave me the opportunity to use my fun fabric in a new non-traditional way. It was shown as a wall hanging with a free form, non-bound edge. I decided to change it to a lap quilt size with a cozy backing to snuggle under.
