Story

I've been attending the MCC Relief Sale for many, many years. As a kid, our Sunday School would volunteer to help clean up at the Relief Sale. I have many memories of amazing pies, donuts and other sweet treats. We would also get to see some of the quilt auctions but, at the time, didn't value the quilts or understand the effort that each one took to make.

My mother has also been involved in helping to make many quilts with the KMB Peacemakers group. I've watched her most of my life making quilts for us as a family but again didn't always see the value.

Now as an adult and starting my own family I see the value in making things to pass down for my son to cherish in years to come.

When I saw this design I fell in love with the inspirational sayings and knew right away that I wanted to make it for the quilt auction.

I hope that whoever wins this quilt will be inspired by the message it brings. Final sale price $450.
