Log Cabin Shuffle

This was a "cooperative project" in the sense that my 3 sisters (Karen Metzger, Arlene Martin, Marg Martin) and I met for a Sisters Sewing Retreat (complete with delicious food) to become familiar with this pattern. Karen had already pieced a larger version of this pattern (also coming to the Relief Sale as Hawkesville WMCEC'd project) and was our instructor. We had prepared by buying 25 fat quarters which we arranged in stacks of 5 according to the colour combinations we desired. Each of us completed about 10 blocks (ie. 2 stacks of coordinated fabrics) that day and it was great fun to see how the blocks emerged as we worked at them. A really fun experience! I then took my completed quilt to Erb St WMCEC for help with quilting it. So this quilt was made amidst community. Final sale price $700.
